McKee was pronounced dead at 5:08 p.m. at the hospital, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. Her cause of death has not been determined yet.

Her boyfriend Kevin Snyder, who was the passenger seat, was found on the roadway outside the car by first responders.

He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

Police told WPXI the tractor-trailer was in the right lane, but its tires crossed over the center line and into the path of the oncoming car.

The driver of the truck, who was not injured, said he felt the truck slipping on the wet roadway as he went up the hill on Route 68, according to WPXI.

The roadway was closed for several hours Monday while the state police reconstruction team investigated the crash. It has since reopened.
