Residents in Cranberry’s Hunters Creek plan of homes will soon have a new way to access nearby Graham Park.
At Thursday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, Cranberry officials approved Place Development Associates to dedicate 40 acres of land for a trail linking the neighborhood to the park.
The township is working closely with the neighborhood’s homeowners association to develop the footpath, according to Cranberry officials.
The trail will run from the end of the Hunters Drive Cul de Sac to Vonders Drive in the Park Place plan and from there to Graham Park Drive.
According to township officials, the trail is part of an effort to improve pedestrian connections between residents and local parks.
The Hunters Creek Homeowners Association has committed financial support for the project. Construction on the trail is expected to be complete by fall.
