Robert Moreau
Rob Moreau first started up writing as a staff member of the UMass Lowell Connector from 2003-2005, where he eventually won a special "Lifetime Achievement Award" for contributions to the paper.  Since then, Rob has acquired a diverse resume that includes freelance contributions to the Chelmsford Independent and other local papers, as well as newsletter and blogging experience. He also achieved a Master's degree in Regional Economic and Social Development from UML in 2008.
Aside from newswriting, Rob's other great interest is in the nonprofit sector. He volunteers as Research Analyst/Outreach for the GENESIS Network, a social networker for NGOs currently active with humanitarian projects in Thailand, Haiti, Ghana, and Ecuador. He also helps out cleaning Lowell's historic waterways for his father's organization, Lowell Canalwaters Cleaners.
