Maher Wins GOP Nomination For Auditor General
The Upper St. Clair Republican will face state Rep. Eugene DePasquale in the November general election.
State Rep. John Maher defeated Frank Pinto in the Republican nomination for Pennsylvania auditor general. "The voters declared today that Pennsylvania deserves an auditor for auditor general," Maher said during his victory speech at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bethel Park. Maher will face state Rep. Eugene DePasquale of York County in the November general election. DePasquale was unopposed for the Democratic nomination. He grew up in Pittsburgh and is a Central Catholic High School graduate.
