Nearby: Four New Stores Opening Soon at Ross Park Mall

Two other stores are undergoing spring makeovers.

Ross Park Mall will welcome three new stores by the end of April—and a fourth by mid-summer. Starbucks will open at the end of the month in the center of the mall. Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics will open in mid-April. The company hand crafts a variety of soaps, shampoos, shower gels and lotions using fruits, vegetables, and essential oils rather than animal fat and oils. Deer Creek Winery is also set to open in mid-April. It will feature Pennsylvania wines and will be located beside Macy's on the lower level. Bachrach, a menswear boutique offering casual, office and formal wear, will open this summer. Starbucks: If you’re battling droopy eyes from all last-minute holiday shopping, the Starbucks store in the Cranberry Commons shopping center on Route 228 is open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. The location on Freedom Road is open until 7 p.m. Dec. 24. While both stores are closed Christmas Day, the Franklin Park location is open Dec. 25 if you’re in need of a caffeine fix. Marty's Suburban Bar and Grill: The Cranberry hangout is open 365 days a year, and Christmas is no exception. The restaurant typically plans a feast with all the fixings for Christmas Day. Freedom Road Starbucks to Temporarily Close for Construction

The coffee shop will reopen next week.

Cranberry area residents in search of a caffeine fix at the Freedom Road Starbucks will have to look elsewhere this week. The coffee Mecca will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday for updates to the shop. It will reopen Tuesday, July 31 with new décor, including wood accents, in place. While the Freedom Road location is closed, Starbucks aficionados can get their coffees and espressos at the township’s other Starbucks stores, including a shop on Route 228 inside the Cranberry Commons shopping plaza, inside the Cranberry Giant Eagle store and inside the Barnes and Noble Booksellers on Route 19. Groups to Boycott Starbucks Over Stances on Gay Rights, Guns

Separate boycotts criticize the coffee chain's stances on national issues. What are your thoughts?

Some religious and political groups are urging Starbucks customers to grab their morning coffee elsewhere in light of the company's stance on gay marriage and its policy on guns. USA Christian Ministries, a group boycotting Starbucks for its recent support of gay marriage in the state of Washington, said in a news release that the coffee chain's decision has angered Christians. "Christians are upset with Starbucks for turning against God," said Steven Andrew, president of USA Christian Ministries. The group hopes that, with full support from Christians, Starbucks, which operates two locations in Cranberry—plus kiosks inside Giant Eagle and Barnes and Noble Booksellers— could lose as much as 80 percent of its business. Coffee Lovers Rejoice: A Two for One Deal at Starbucks

The coffee giant is offering two holiday drinks for the price of one from Thursday through Sunday.

Did you know that Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee each day? According to CoffeeStatistics.com, that’s the equivalent of 146 billion cups a year. Starbucks is making the holiday season a little perkier for all those coffee lovers with a special BOGO deal starting Thursday and lasting through Nov. 20. From 2 to 5 p.m. on those days, Starbucks patrons will get a second free holiday beverage when they buy the first one. The BOGO deal is good on several holiday drinks, including the peppermint mocha in regular and “skinny” versions, caramel brulée latte, ginger bread latter and the company’s standing holiday tradition, the eggnog latte.
