What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township. Monday, Jan. 21 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For some, the national holiday honoring the prominent civil rights activist is a time to give back and serve the community, be it through removing graffiti or picking up litter in a local park. Seneca Valley will hold its homecoming carnival and parade at 5:10 and 7 p.m. Thursday at the secondary campus in Jackson Township. The homecoming game will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at NexTier Stadium. The dance will be from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. St. Gregory will host at wine tasting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bergman Event Center on Pine Street in Zelienople. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, gift baskets, a 50/50 raffle and, of course, wine to taste. Participants must be at 21 years of age to attend the event.
