Suspects in Bank Robbery and I-79 Chase Indicted on Federal Charges
If convicted, the pair could face up to 25 years in prison and fines of $250,000.
U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced Tuesday the indictment of two men on charges of robbing a Ross Township bank and leading police on a high-speed chase through several northern North Hills suburbs before crashing on Interstate 79 just after the Wexford exit. Regan Pierre, 20, of New Castle and Mario Robinson, 24, of New Kensington are charged with the armed robbery of the Fidelity Bank at 1009 Perry Highway on Oct. 17. Bank employees called 911 shortly after 4 p.m. to report the robbery. Ross Police Detectives were in the area with a prisoner on an unrelated call and spotted a black Honda coupe fleeing the scene, Detective Brian Kohlhepp said.
