Primary Election 2013: Here's Where to Go to Vote in the Cranberry Area

Get polling locations for Cranberry, Zelienople, Harmony, Evans City and Seven Fields.

If you're not sure where to go to vote for Tuesday's primary election, Cranberry Patch is here to help. Below is the list of polling locations for Cranberry, Zelienople, Harmony, Evans City and Seven Fields. For a district map of Cranberry voting sites, click here. The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Please note, voting for Cranberry Township West III, normally held in the Christ Bible Church at 2721 Rochester Road, will be temporarily moved to the Cranberry Municipal Center gymnasium. It will return to Christ Bible Church for the fall election. The move was required to avoid a prior commitment the church had scheduled on the same day as the primary election, according to the township. Don’t forget to keep checking back with …

Cranberry at the Polls: Election Workers Report Big Turnout

Workers say it has been smooth sailing—for the most part.

By 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, there already was a line of people ready to cast their votes waiting outside the Cranberry West I polling location at the Cranberry Highlands Golf Club, according to Sally Buchele, judge of elections at the location. That’s even though the polls didn’t open until 7 a.m. “This is the busiest we’ve been since the last presidential election,” she said. By noon, close to 40 percent of the 2,270 registered voters in the Cranberry West I district had cast their votes, Buchele said. She added that’s already about twice as many people as the precinct typically gets in a non-presidential election year. “We haven't had a dead space yet,” she said as lines continued to form inside the building. “It’s been wonderful.” At the …

It's time to vote—again. Today, residents in the 40th District will choose a candidate to fill the remaining term of former Sen. Jane Orie, who was sentenced in May to 2 ½ to 10 years in prison after her March conviction of using her legislative staff to perform political work.  We at Cranberry Patch are reminding you to get out to the polls and vote in the special election.
