Running unopposed, State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Cranberry, has an easy victory Tuesday. Incumbent U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly defeats Democratic contender Missa Eaton by a wide margin in the 3rd Congressional District.
The results are in. As expected, State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Cranberry, sailed to an easy victory Tuesday to represent the 12th District in the state House of Representatives. The incumbent, who will enter his eighth term, ran unopposed on the Republican ballot. The 12th District covers Cranberry, Adams, Clinton, Forward, Jefferson, Middlesex and Penn townships and the boroughs of Callery, Connoquenessing, Evans City, Mars, Saxonburg, Seven Fields and Valencia. Eaton is running on the Democratic ticket opposing Republican incumbent Kelly. Porter is on the ballot as an Independent.
Incumbent Rep. Mike Kelly, a Republican from Butler, today takes on Democratic contender Missa Eaton and Steven Porter, an unaffiliated Independent candidate, for Pennsylvania’s Third Congressional District. The 2012 elections will be the first using new redistricting maps based on 2010 Census data. Prior to redistricting, Cranberry was part of the 4th Congressional District led by Jason Altmire. Fellow Democratic incumbent Rep. Mark Critz defeated Altmire in the primary election after the 4th district was folded into one new 12th district, currently represented by Critz.
