Where does Santa live? A dorm room? I think not.

The moral of the story is: If you want a blow-up Santa in your dorm room, go out and buy one. A former La Roche student found out the hard way that doing otherwise can cost you $447. The young man, who was 18 at the time of the incident in December, appeared Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner on a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property after a stolen blow-up Santa was found in his dorm room. The commonwealth reduced the charge to a summary count of disorderly conduct, and the judge imposed a $300 fine plus $147 in court costs. Police: Gibsonia Teen Served as Lookout, Distraction for Home Burglaries in Richland

A Gibsonia teen served as a lookout and a distraction as his friend burglarized two homes on Ben Miller and Elgro roads in Richland Township in the latter half of 2012, according to testimony from a police detective Wednesday. Tyler Gazdik, 19, is charged with working with the late Stephen Hudec, 20, to burglarize those homes. He also told police he acted alone to take copper pipes and wire coils from a Grubbs Road home in Richland, Hampton Detective Robert Kirsopp testified. Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner ordered Gazdik to stand trial on burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and criminal trespass charges. Butler Men Face Charges After Attempted Pine Township Break-in

Edward, Keith and William Hohman and Shawn Graham were preparing to burglarize a Wallace Road home when the owner surprised them.

Four men charged in the Dec. 27 attempted break-in of a Wallace Road home in Pine Township were in court Wednesday for preliminary hearings. William Allen Hohman, 29, of Butler, and Shawn Graham, 34, of Lyndora, waived their preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner. Hearings for Edward Eric Hohman, 30, of Russelton, and Keith Hohman, 22, of Butler, were postponed until Jan. 16. Graham was released; the three Hohmans remain in the Allegheny County Jail.  What happened? The resident of the Wallace Road home called 911 around 2:30 p.m. to report that a man was trying to kick in his door, according to the criminal complaint. Police: Gunman in Wexford BP Robbery Admits to Hold-Ups in Three Other States

Cases against three men charged in the November robbery of the BP convenience store and gas station in Wexford advanced Wednesday to the Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Following a preliminary hearing, Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner ordered Matthew McDonald, who is charged with being the gunman during the holdup, to stand trial. Co-defendants Travis Hallam, 19, and David Piatt, 21, waived their cases. Both Washington, PA, men are charged with criminal conspiracy. McDonald is charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy and theft. The BP is located along Route 910 in Marshall Township in the T-Bones shopping plaza near the I-79 interchange. Bail Set at $50,000 for Two Washington County Men Charged in BP Robbery

Two Washington County men charged in the robbery of a BP in Wexford were arraigned by live streaming over the Internet Thursday morning and bail was set at $50,000 each. Matthew McDonald, 19, and Charles Edward Clark, 21, appeared separately via webcam from the Washington County Jail before Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner, whose courtroom is in McCandless. Wagner asked both men if they had received a written criminal complaint stating the charges against them, to which they answered yes. Man Who Met Pine Township Youth for Sex Through Craig's List Heading to Trial

A man charged with having sexual relations with a 15-year-old Pine Township youth he met through a Craigslist ad has been ordered to stand trial by Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner. Mark Doncic, 52, of Castle Shannon, was held for court Wednesday on six felony counts—statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor. He pleaded not guilty through his attorney, Stanton D. Levenson. The FBI also is investigating Doncic and intends to prosecute its case in federal court, according to a criminal complaint.  The FBI referred information about the encounter between Doncic and the 15-year-old to Allegheny County Police …
