On Tuesday, Pine-Richland’s own Jackie Evancho will join forces with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh for a concert celebrating great songs from the movies. “Jackie Evancho: Songs from the Silver Screen,” takes place at 7:30 p.m. and will feature music from her PBS television special, Great Performances: Jackie Evancho: Music of the Movies. I've been to many many concerts, including The Stones, Zeppelin, The Who, .... but Jackie's (with the Pittsburgh Sympony Orchestra and Jumaane Smith) was the most enjoyable concert I've ever been to. Her pure voice blended with the orchestra like a newly invented instrument.   more ›
