North Hills Man Sentenced to 46 Months in Prison for Mortgage Fraud Scheme

James C. Platts was convicted of mail fraud conspiracy, mail fraud and money laundering.

A resident of Allegheny County has been sentenced in federal court to 46 months imprisonment to be followed by years of supervised release on his conviction of mail fraud conspiracy, mail fraud and money laundering, U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced in a statement Tuesday. Senior U.S. District Judge Alan N. Bloch imposed the sentence on James C. Platts, 60, formerly of P.O. Box 1168, Wexford. According to information presented to the court, Platts' business, known as Easy Realty Solutions Inc., entered into agreements with prospective buyers of four residential properties located in Allegheny County.
