Donation Site Set Up for Young Brothers Killed in Connoquenessing Crash

Liam Bintrim, 3, and Declan McCullough, who would have celebrated his first birthday Friday, died Wednesday.

Elisabeth McCullough was just a few miles from her home on Main Street in Harmony Wednesday morning when the SUV she was driving spun out of control on icy Lower Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township. The vehicle skidded off the road and flipped over before striking a tree. McCullough, 32, survived the accident with minor injuries—her two young sons did not. Liam Bintrim, 3, and Declan McCullough, who would have celebrated his first birthday Friday, were both killed when the roof of the vehicle caved in above where they sitting, according to KDKA. UPDATED: State Police Ask Motorists to Stay Off Icy Butler County Roads

State Route 422 East in Summit Township has reopened in both directions after a vehicle crash between Heist and Carbon Center roads. Route 422 West also has reopened between Route 8 and Route 356.

Third Update: As of 3:30 p.m. Route 422 West open. SECOND UPDATE: As of 1:30 p.m. Route 422 West is closed between Route 8 and Route 356 due to an overturned tractor-trailer. UPDATE: As of 1 p.m., state Route 422 East in Summit Township is reopen in both directions between Heist and Carbon Center roads.
