Where to Find Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling’s New Book in Cranberry

Her new book, The Casual Vacancy, is to being released today.

Harry Potter may have vanished into the past, but author J.K. Rowling is still around with her for-adults book, The Casual Vacancy, which hits stands today. In Cranberry, you can find the book at Barne & Noble, Target and Walmart. If you’re looking to check the book, contact the Cranberry Public Library for details.  The new book by the creator of Harry Potter is aiming this book at a grown-up audience. More than 2 million hardcover copies of her first novel are set to be released simultaneously in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. Five Tips for Getting onto Pottermore Early

Still not on Pottermore? Some advice that may help you be one of the lucky few.

For those of you who are still trying to successfully answer the clues in this week's Magical Quill Challenge in order to gain early access to Pottermore, here are some tips and resources: #1. There are seven books, seven days and seven chances to register early this week for J.K. Rowling's interactive Pottermore website. Each day corresponds with one of the books in sequential order. Friday, Day 6's clue will be about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; and the clue on Saturday, Day 7, the last day of the challenge, will come from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Have the corresponding book by your side, just in case. #2. View Finder: Harry Potter Casts a Spell on Cranberry

The last installment of the Harry Potter franchise premieres in Cranberry.

The came. They saw. They cheered at the top of their lungs as the credits ran. Moviegoers flocked to the Cranberry Cinemas late Thursday to catch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the last film in the blockbuster Harry Potter series. While the lobby to the theater opened at 10:30 p.m., the movie, which showed simultaneously in three separate screening rooms, didn't begin until the stroke of midnight Friday. There’s no business like show business – particularly when it comes to Harry Potter. That's something Jessica Levine knows for a fact. With a little help from Cranberry Cinemas, Patch counts down the top 10 movies that captivated moviegoers in 2010.

With blockbuster sequels like "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1" dominating movie complexes, chances are that at some point in 2010, you found yourself inside a darkened auditorium at the newly remodeled Cranberry Cinemas. Matt Carrozzi knows this. As the general manager for the Cranberry movie house, Carrozzi spends most of his days (and nights) monitoring films and the people who view them.
