It seems like everywhere you look in Cranberry these days there’s a crane or a bulldozer at work on a new development. Here’s a look at a few of the upcoming commercial developments, including photos, opening soon Cranberry. After months of grading and site preparation, construction is underway for a 4,997 square foot Sheetz gas station and convenience store at the intersection of Route 19 and Ehrman Road. In a private-public partnership, Sheetz also is helping to fund a traffic signal at the intersection of Ehrman Road and Route 19. Sheetz spokeswoman Monica Jones previously told Cranberry Patch the new gas station could open by fall. The family-owned Mexican restaurant chain will be located at the former CiCi's Pizza.
Emiliano's owner Benny Ulloa said his latest Mexican restaurant could be open in Cranberry by month's end. The grand opening of the new location, located at the former CiCi's Pizza in the Cranberry Mall off Route 19, will coincide with the closing of the McIntyre Square Emiliano's Resturant in Ross Township, Ulloa said. "For the most part, the people working in the North Hills will come up to Cranberry," he said. "There should not be a big time lapse between the closing and opening." A family-owned restaurant with several locations around Pittsburgh, the restaurant is proposed for the former CiCi’s Pizza.
Another new restaurant is in the works for Cranberry Township. At Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, officials approved a liquor license transfer for Emiliano’s, a Mexican restaurant with three other locations in the Pittsburgh area. Ron Henshaw, Cranberry's director of community development, said the restaurant is proposed for the former CiCi’s Pizza located off Freedom Road in the Cranberry Mall. The 5,000 square foot restaurant closed about a year ago and has been empty ever since.
