Motorists Warned to Beware of Snow and Ice on Roads
A winter weather advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday
Remember just few days ago when the sun was shining and temperatures hovered around 70 degrees? That sure didn't last long. Within a matter of hours this afternoon snow, sleet and some freezing rain moved into the area, quickly covering roads and causing hazardous driving conditions. About 4 to 8 inches of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice is predicted by the National Weather Service. "Untreated roads will become slick. Motorists are urged to exercise caution if traveling late this afternoon," the weather service stated.
