Cranberry officials may approve a proposed new Sheetz convenience store and gas station by next week. Testimony at a public hearing for the 6,558-square-foot facility, which includes a separate 1,049-square-foot car wash, concluded Thursday at the board of supervisors meeting. During the hearing, Freedom Road resident Dan Page said he is concerned the gas station may be too close to the KinderCare daycare facility on Freedom Road. He asked if an plan is in place to address an emergency involving the station's gasoline tanks. Page also said he believes two traffic lights located on Freedom Road will not be sufficient to control traffic coming from the proposed Sheetz, which is about 300 feet from the current Sheetz building on Freedom Road…
