Jackson Fish Co. Holding Benefit for Family of Harmony Brothers Killed in Crash

Proceeds from a special dinner will go towards a memorial for Liam Bintrim, 3, and his brother, Declan McCullough, almost 1.

As the father of a toddler son, Chet Garland, owner of the Jackson Fish Co. in Harmony, said he was stunned when he learned 3-year-old Liam Bintrim and his brother, Declan McCullough, almost 1, were killed in a car accident Jan. 9 on an icy road in Connoquenessing Township. “You don’t expect something like that to happen,” he said. “I have a 2-year-old myself, and I don’t know what I would do.” Garland said he is familiar with Liam and Declan’s family, who reside in Harmony. The vehicle skidded off the road and flipped over before striking a tree. McCullough, 32, survived the accident with minor injuries—her two young sons did not. Members of the Friends of the …

Funeral arrangements have been set for the two young brothers from Harmony killed in a tragic car accident during icy road conditions Wednesday in Connoquenessing. According to the online obituary, Liam Bintrim, 3, loved to splash in the water with his younger brother, Declan McCullough, who would have turned 1 Friday. “He absolutely loved sharing baths with his younger brother, Declan, they were little water boys,” the obituary on the Boylan Funeral Home website said. A funeral ceremony for both boys will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at St. Peter’s Reformed Church in Zelienople.
