Pools might be closed for the summer, but that didn’t stop some of the area’s four-legged friends from taking one last dip before fall sets in. On Saturday Cranberry had its annual Puppy Plunge at the Cranberry Community Waterpark. The township has sponsored the event at the water park, which closed to the public after Labor Day, since 2005. Kelly Yocum, activity coordinator for Cranberry’s parks and recreation department, said about 35 dogs were pre-registered for each of the three doggy dip sessions at the pool.
