The Friends of the Cranberry Library will hold a special Valentine’s book sale Monday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 15. Buy a decorated bag with three books of your choice, a bookmark and some sweets at the library, located inside the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Rochester Road. It's a nice gift and all proceeds go to the library! Wednesday, Feb. 12 marks the beginning of the 46-day Lent period leading up to Easter. A number of churches around the Cranberry area will hold Ash Wednesday services. For some religions, this includes the imposition of ashes—which is when the foreheads are marked with ashes.
