They’ve Got Game: Cranberry Lions Honor Hoop Shoot Winners
Proceeds from the Community Hoop Shoot Classic went to the nonprofit VIP Sports Camp.
It was game on at the Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors meeting Thursday as the Cranberry Lions Club recognized the student winners from its first Community Hoop Shoot Classic. Sponsored by the Lions and the physical education teachers at Rowan Elementary School, the March 10 event at the Cranberry Municipal Center featured a foul-shot competition and a hot-shot contest for children in first through sixth grades. Although admission to the event was free, donations were accepted for VIP Sports Camp, which provides sports and recreation opportunities for children and teenagers who are visually impaired or blind.
