Cranberry to Mark Chinese New Year with Celebration
2013 is the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese Calendar.
According to the Chinese calendar, 2013, the Year of the Snake, begins Feb. 10. The Snake is the sixth symbol in the Chinese Zodiac, which follows a rotation of 12 animal signs. Ancient Chinese wisdom holds that people born in the Year of the Snake are keen and cunning, intelligent and wise, a statement from Cranberry Township said. To honor the upcoming new year, as well as those born in the previous years of the snake, the Cranberry Township Sister Cities Association will hold a celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Regional Learning Alliance, 850 Cranberry Woods Drive.
