Don’t Stop Believing: SV Kicks off School Year with Memorable Message

Superintendent Dr. Tracy Vitale welcomes school staff by asking them to keep believing in public education—and offers a few other surprises.

Although she promised not to sing, Seneca Valley Superintendent, Dr. Tracy Vitale did quote from the rock band Journey Thursday as she encouraged educators not to stop believing in public education. “Public education needs us,” she said as the opening chords to Don't Stop Believing began to play in the auditorium of Seneca Valley Intermediate High School. “We have been chosen. "So today, I ask you, don’t stop believing.” Vitale’s speech was part of a service rally to welcome staff members, new and veteran, to their first day of the 2012-13 school year.
