Firefighters Respond to Brush Fires in Wexford, Adams

Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a brush fire in Wexford that burned about six acres but did not damage any structures, according to a Wexford Volunteer Fire Company firefighter. The Wexford firefighters responded to the call just as they returned to the station from fighting a morning brush fire in Adams Township off Blackstone Lane, according to the firefighter. About six to seven acres were burned in Adams Township in an area close to residences, the firefighter said. No injuries or damage to structures were reported in either fire, she said.
