2011 Election: Seneca Valley School Board

In the Seneca Valley School District, four candidates are seeking election to four four-year terms as school directors. Two of the contested races were settled in the May primary. The other two races were uncontested.

In Region 2 representing Cranberry Township, Jim Nickel of Cranberry Township is running on both the Republican and Democrat ballots.

In Region 3 representing Cranberry Township, incumbent school board member and board President Robert J. Hill Jr. of Cranberry Township is seeking re-election. He is the sole candidate running on both ballots for one vacant seat.

In Region 7, Kelly Kopera, a benefits consultant, of Evans City, is running on both tickets for the seat representing Evans City and Seven Fields.

In Region 6, Reid Moon staged a successful last minute write-in campaign during the May primary to win the empty seat representing Zelienople. There were no official candidates on the ballot. He was appointed to the school board in June after the resignation of Region 6's Dr. Sally A. Hanley.
