At Patch, we don’t take shortcuts. That’s why we hire professional
editors and contributors in each of our towns and personally visit
every business in our Directory at least once a year.
Despite our best efforts, sometimes a personal visit is not possible
— a business might be run out of a home or the owner may be too busy.
In this case, we list the business on Patch with as much information as
we have. And because we believe in full disclosure, we include our
verification disclaimer.
We are always looking for feedback on our listings and the verification
process, so if you see incorrect information or have an opinion, please
send us your thoughts. If you are the owner or manager of a business or
organization, you can claim a listing and help determine what
information is displayed on Patch.
Low wage, Managements unresponsive to any issues one might have, Your asked to do things that jeopardize health and safety. When receiving cold storage merchandise the temperature is never checked and is left to sit on dock for excessive periods of time (employees leave to go on break/lunch before product is stored properly). The boxes where the merchandise is stored are un-kept, the company has not passed an inspection in 7 years.
My advice to Pat is to stop into great lakes cold storage, unannounced and see how the employees and management regularly conduct business as there’s no question that he would see issues in need of immediate correction. I.e. un-kept boxes, damaged product being shipped out, temperatures on product not being monitored, and management not managing but instead playing solitaire on company time.
