Bluegrass and Beyond Music Festival

The 2nd Annual Bluegrass and Beyond Music Festival takes place Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7 in Harmony. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday and will continue all day Saturday.

Alongside the festival’s headliners, The Honeycutters, the event will feature 12 bands.

Cranberry Puppy Plunge

Bring your pup to the Cranberry Waterpark Saturday, Sept. 7 for a dip in the pool. 

Puppy Plunge events include a diving competition, contests, races and more. Dog owners must bring their dog's current veterinarian certificate to document current rabies vaccination. Pre-registration is recommended.

Sessions will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Adams Area Fire District 5K Run/Walk

Registration for the annual Adams Area Fire District 5K Run/Walk kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. The race begins at 9 a.m. The cost is $20 per runner.

The event is a major fundraiser for the fire department and serves as the kick-off to Adams Township Community Day. It also honors the memory of Herb Kaufman, a dedicated community member and service leader.

This year, the department also will be collecting donations for the Macri family, whose home and business in Mars caught fire over the weekend. Thoughtful gifts of cash, clothes, supplies and food are appreciated.

Gear and Beer Music Festival

Sunday, Sept. 8, 8 a.m., Bradys Run Park and Lodge, 526 Bradys Run road, Beaver Falls. Festival activities include a 5K run/walk, mountain bike race, road cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, rock climbing wall, auctions, raffles, live music, arts & crafts, food, drink and wine and craft beer tasting.
