Five Things To Know: Business Owners Coffee, Concerts and the CCUP Closet Classic

1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township.

2. Business Owner's Coffee with the Cranberry Township Manager

Owners and managers of companies doing business in Cranberry are invited to an informal meeting with manager Jerry Andree from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 to discuss current township initiatives, future developments and improvements to Route 228.

There also will be an overview of the programs and services available to new and existing businesses through the Business Hub.

3. CCUPC Closet Classics Sale & Classic Treasures Bazaar

Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church on Rochester Road in Cranberry is holding its 7th annual Closet Classics Sale & Classic Treasures Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

The closet sale features gently used clothing for the entire family, including clothing for all ages, maternity clothes, jackets, formalwear and costumes.

There also will be CDs, DVDs, books, jewelry, shoes, sporting goods and large toys.  

The Classic Treasures Bazaar will be open during the same dates and times and feature furniture, electronics, household items, children’s toys and more.

The church’s cafe will be serving meals and desserts at the event. 

4. Ally Rhodes Performs with Zach Short at The Center of Harmony

Singer/songwriter Ally Rhodes will perform an acoustic set at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at the Center of Harmony on Mercer Street in Harmony. She will be joined by Zach Short.

Ally’s latest release “Conversations With a Ghost,” was featured on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter homepage and broke into the top 40 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart within hours of being released. 

Tickets to the show are $15 per person. The show is free for children under 16.

5. Computer and Electronics Recycling Event at St. Ferdinand

This event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at St. Ferdinand Church in Cranberry is free for all Pennsylvania residents and small business (50 or fewer employees). Although recycling is free to all Pennsylvania residents and small businesses, donations are accepted for St. Ferdinand.
