Video: Mutual Inspiration at the Cranberry CUP

This weekend meant a lot for Cheyannia Marburger and family—as well as the crowd of supporters.

At this weekend's tournament, neighborhoods and businesses from around the area did way more than just play softball.

They also helped support an 8-year-old girl with a rare, inoperable brain tumor, and put a smile on the faces of her friends and family.

Chey, who her mom describes as “sassy” and “outspoken,” and her family are the a nonprofit dedicated to helping local families.

Each summer, the organization holds a golf outing as well as its signature fundraiser,

Patch caught up with the Evans City-based family after Saturday's opening ceremony to chat for a bit. Watch the video above to learn more about Cheyannia and her family.

It was great to hear such a fine thing happened in Cranberry after the pseudo "Christian" showing of support for the Chickflix creep that donates sacks of money to organizations that advocate hate and violence toward people that happen to live a different life style. I am not a praying guy but if Yahweh, Christ and Allah are paying attention, then I truly hope something miraculous happens for Cheyannia. Dr Art in Allison Park, PA
