Video: Cranberry CUP Home Run Derby a Hit at PNC Park

Five finalists in the Cranberry CUP Home Run Derby get their chance to hit it out of the park — PNC Park that is.

On Sunday afternoon the five finalists in the Cranberry CUP Home Run Derby — Mike Hutchinson, Sam Carmella, Marty Kohler, Craig Gehm and Bill Och — each took their turn at PNC Park's home plate with a 10-out allowance.

After being named Derby champion, Mike Hutchinson won a trip to join the Pittsburgh Pirates during 2012 spring training in Bradenton, FL.

Cranberry CUP, which stands for Community Uniting People, raises money to support local families in need. This year’s beneficiary is the O’Donnell family of Cranberry. A social studies teacher in the Keystone Oaks School District and a father of four, Shawn O’Donnell was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer in May.
