Patch Pet: Willie the Weimaraner is Friendly and Affectionate

During his training sessions, Animal Friends volunteers discovered that Willie loves peanut butter.

Willie the Weimaraner is looking for a special someone to take him home.

Willie is a very active kind of guy and needs a family who will keep up with him. He loves long walks and hikes in the park. (He loves to bird watch, too!) He also loves car rides! Some time to run around outside in a fenced area would make Willie a very happy dog.

Willie is incredibly affectionate and is very friendly. Let him impress you with the commands he knows now and rest assured that Willie will learn many more under your care. He is very smart and is very food motivated. We discovered during his training sessions that Willie loves peanut butter!

We would like to have Willie’s new family to have breed experience with Weimaraners and know that Willie needs a strong leader in his new owner.

Willie has been hurt before and will need to forge a strong sense of trust in his new family. Willie also has hypothyroidism. This condition is not life-threatening but Willie will require special medication for the rest of his life
