Jump in, Kids! Area Pools Open this Weekend

Get your swimsuits ready. The Cranberry Community Waterpark and the Zelienople Pool open Saturday.

The Memorial Day weekend often is the unofficial start of summer, and with it comes the very official opening of area pools.

The weather promises to be gorgeous this weekend, so there‘s no excuse not to strip down to your swimsuits!

Cranberry Community Waterpark

at North Boundary Park, which features a 15,000 square-foot pool and a 12-foot waterslide, opens Saturday to kick off the long Memorial Day weekend. The waterpark will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day.

Zelienople Community Pool

The pool opens at 12 p.m. Saturday. New this year at the swimming hole is WiFi, new speakers surrounding the pool and new lounge and Adirondack chairs. There also will be summer pool parties this year, including movies from the deck, bands and food. Pool hours are 12 to 8 p.m. May 26-28 and 12 to 8 p.m. June 9-10. From June 11 through Labor Day, the pool will be open from 12 to 8 p.m. For information on becoming a Zelienople pool member, click here.
