Heat Advisory And Air Quality Alert Issued

Heat and humidity becoming dangerous for young children, the elderly, and anyone with respiratory problems.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued both a heat advisory and an air quality alert for the western Pennsylvania area, including of course, the Cranberry area.

Temperatures are expected to soar well into the 90's with heat index values topping 100.

The weather service says the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will trigger heat related problems for the elderly, young children, and anyone susceptible to the heat.
