3. Cranberry CUP Golf Tournament

Celebrate the start of the nonprofit Cranberry CUP softball tournament with this four-person golf scramble at the Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday with tee-off time at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $520 per neighborhood or open foursome. All proceeds go to the 2012 Cranberry CUP beneficiaries.

4. Cranberry CUP Kickoff Party

The kickoff party from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at the e is where the nonprofit Cranberry CUP introduces the local “inspirational family.” This year’s beneficiaries are 8-year-old Cheyannia Marburger, who has an inoperable brain tumor, and her family. The evening includes a buffet, cash bar and entertainment from a local band. Many gift baskets also are raffled off at this event.

5. Cranberry CUP Opening Ceremony

Let the games begin! For many, to the Cranberry CUP softball tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday at is the highlight of the event. This year’s inspirational family, including little Cheyannia Marburger, will be welcomed onto the fields by hundreds of softball players, their families, local officials and volunteers. The ceremony kicks off the neighborhood softball tournament, the Cranberry CUP’s signature fundraiser, which pits different neighborhoods and businesses against each other in a friendly competition.
