3. Cranberry Waterpark Opening Day

Keep your fingers crossed for good weather. opens Saturday to kick off the long Memorial Day weekend. The waterpark, which features a 15,000 square-foot pool and a 12-foot waterslide, will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day.

4. Cranberry Veterans Memorial Day Program

Residents are asked to bring a chair to the 45-minute Memorial Day veterans program taking place at 1 p.m. Sunday at . This year’s guest speaker is Stephen Mihalacki, Retired Captain, United States Army. There also will be a presentation of colors by the Cranberry Township VFW color guard, a performance of the national anthem by Seneca Valley student Elicia Gibson, a color guard and rifle salute by the Ohio Valley Marine Corps League Detachment, a presentation of memorial wreaths and a release of white doves to remember prisoners of war and those missing in action.

5. Zelienople Memorial Day Service

The Zelienople American Legion will hold a Memorial Day service/procession from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday in the borough.
