Summer Swim: Cranberry Aquatics Program to Offer Private and Group Lessons

The Community Waterpark at North Boundary Park opens May 25.

Things will soon be going swimmingly in Cranberry Township.

The Cranberry Community Waterpark is gearing up for a summer-long season of swimming and aquatic instructional programs, starting Saturday, May 25.  

Weather permitting, the 15,000 square foot pool, which includes a 120-foot water slide, a zero-depth entry area, swimming lanes and a diving well, will be open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day, Sept. 2.

In addition to its 460,000 gallon pool, the water park—which is located in Cranberry's North Boundary Park—has a large lawn with lounge chairs and umbrellas, a sand play area for kids, a spray pad zone, sand volleyball court, a playground, locker rooms, and a full-service concession offering catered event packages for groups as large as 15.  

Full day admission to the Waterpark ranges from free for children under 2, to $9 for non-resident adults.

Special rates are available for those 2 to 12 as well as those 62 and older. Season-long memberships for individuals and families of all sizes are also available.

Shallow and deep-water aerobics classes, as well as private and group swimming lessons for adults and for children as young as six months of age will be offered throughout the summer.  

The classes, which are taught by American Red Cross certified instructors, are organized according to each individual's level of proficiency in water skills. Lessons vvary in the number of sessions, the length of each class and the days of the week in which they meet.
