Seneca Valley Breezes By Butler in First Game of the Season

The Raiders defeat the Tornadoes by a score of 28-3.

With a mostly new starting lineup in place, Seneca Valley is off to another winning start.

The Raiders defeated the host Butler Tornadoes by a score of 28-3 Friday in a WPIAL Northern Eight Conference matchup. 

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports junior T.J. Holl had touchdown runs of 13 and 2 yards. Mason Dehart also scored at the 1 and 7 yard lines.

Seneca Valley, which finished the regular season 8-1 last year and made it to the WPIAL Class AAAA semifinals, lost many of its starting players to graduation in 2013. 

Head Football Coach Don Holl told the PG there is a lot of rebuilding to be done offensively for the 2013 season, but he has the right tools in place to do it.
