REMINDER: Predict the Outcome of Sunday's Big Game and Win $100 from Patch

The contest deadline is Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. (EST)

Calling Steelers Nation, Packer fans, and anyone interested in winning a $100 Visa gift card. Patch is holding a “Predict the Big Game” contest leading up to Sunday’s football championship.

We’re asking Patch readers to gaze into the all-knowing twirling Terrible Towel or don their magical cheeseheads to make guesses on four outcomes of Sunday’s match up. Contest categories include:

  • Final score
  • What player will score the first TD?
  • The first half point total (Steelers and Packers scores combined)
  • The main color of Fergie’s halftime outfit (as determined by Patch judges)

The grand prize – a $100 Visa gift card - goes to the closest guess on the final score. The second closest guess wins a $50 gift card.

The contest winner will be determined, first, on whether you have the winning team, and, second, on how close your score is to the final score.

Proximity to the final score will be determined by taking the difference between your point totals for each team and the actual score. So, if you have the Steelers winning 17-14, and the final score is Steelers 19, Packers 12, you would be four points away from the actual score.

The lowest point differential with the correct winning team wins $100. The second closest score wins a $50 Visa gift card. In the event of a tie, random drawings will determine the first- and second-place winners.

Winners in the other three categories will receive Patch-themed prize package. In the event of a tie in any of the categories, Patch judges will determine winners with a random drawing.

To enter, post your predictions in the comments below, along with any justifications you’d like to share for your picks. You’ll compete with Patch readers in 24 communities in the Milwaukee and Pittsburgh regions.

All predictions must by posted by 5 p.m. CST (6 p.m. EST) on Sunday, 30 minutes before kickoff.
