Township Offers Self-defense Classes for Women and Children

Don’t let bullies or thugs push you around.  Cranberry Township’s Parks & Recreation department is offering two four-session courses designed to build self-confidence and prepare women of any age, as well as children from 6 to 11 years old, to avoid confrontations where possible or, if they are unavoidable, to learn defensive postures and blocks as well as various hand and foot attacks.

Instructor Stephen Morrissey will offer the Monday evening classes in the Township’s Municipal Center beginning April 4 for women, and April 11 for children.  Registration for residents is $39, $49 for non-residents.  Call 724-776-4806 x1129 to enroll.
