Westinghouse Science Honors Institute Recognizes Seneca Valley Students

Two students earn special honors.

Eleven juniors recently were recognized for attending the 2010-11 Westinghouse Science Honors Institute program.

The institute gave special recognition to two other students for doing well in competitions and exams during the program. Brandon Nicklas received a $150 check for scoring in 15th place on the voluntary final exam, and Michelle Botyrius received a gift and certificate for participating as a team member of the second-place team of the "Bridge Building" competition.

About 400 students from the region participate in the annual program for high school juniors. WSHI invites qualified students to participate in lectures and hands-on experience at the George Westinghouse Research and Technology Park in Churchill.
