Video: Seneca Valley Middle School Celebrates Academic All-Stars

A Hollywood-themed banquet honored the school's straight-A students.

Seneca Valley Middle School held its 20th annual Academic Awards Banquet on Monday.

The event honored seventh- and eighth-grade students who earned straight A's throughout the school year. This year, 99 students had a perfect grade-point average, which set a school record. Andrea Peck, the school's assistant principal, said many of the eighth-grade students at the banquet also had been honored at last year’s event.

"These kids worked their butts off," she said. "This is just an amazing feat I think."
