Seneca Valley Students Earn Honor Choir Designation

The singers will perform Saturday at Westminster College.

Sixteen students have been selected for the Westminster Honor Choir, which is made up of 80 singers from schools in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.

There also are two Seneca Valley alternates. Hear them for yourself at this year’s annual honor choir concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Westminster College in the auditorium. Tickets are $3.

To qualify for the honor choir, students from 45 schools learned two selections. They also were required to be able to sing any section of each of those songs a cappella for the panel of three judges at the auditions. Students with the top 10 scores in each section qualified for the honor choir.
