Seneca Valley's Troy Witt to Play Football at CMU

The senior was a receiver for the Raiders.

senior Troy Witt has been accepted to Carnegie Mellon University and will play football for the Tartans in the fall.

A slot receiver on Seneca Valley’s 2011 football team, Witt will be studying economics at CMU. He is one of 1,400 freshman selected to attend the school in the fall out of 31,000 applicants, according to his father, Ron Witt.

Witt is Seneca Valley’s third all-time career receptions leader. He also was a team all-conference Quad A north receiver, Butler Eagle Sweet 16 offense selection and All-Western PA second team selection.

With a 4.033 GPA, Witt, who was captain on the Raiders football team, is an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.
