Seneca Valley Rolls Over Mt. Lebanon, 32-13

The Raiders will take on North Allegheny in the WPIAL football semifinals.

Seneca Valley is heading to the WPIAL AAAA semifinals for the first time in 15 years.

The no. 4 seeded Raiders football team defeated the no. 5 seed Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils 32-13 in the WPIAL quarterfinals Friday at North Allegheny High School.

The Raiders are now 10-1 overall.

“I think this was a big win for us,” said Seneca Valley quarterback Jordan Brown in an interview with ROOT sports.

Up next, Seneca Valley will take on undefeated North Allegheny. The defending WPIAL champion Tigers beat the Bethel Park Black Hawks Friday, 42-14.

The No. 1 seeded Tigers also handed the Raiders their only loss to in the 2012 season. Seneca Valley receiver Jonathan Dorogy, who had 198 rushing yards Friday, told ROOT sports the Raiders have a friendly rivalry with North Allegheny.

“We’re really looking forward to this game,” he said.
