Seneca Valley Planning Veteran Recognition Event

The is once again in the process of organizing a special Veteran Recognition Day during the first official Raider football game, which will take place 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, at NexTier Stadium in Jackson Township.

During a pre-game ceremony, veterans and active military personnel will gather at stadium track and be recognized for their dedicated service to our country. They will also receive free admission and special seating and parking accommodations for the game.

“Everyone at Seneca Valley looks forward to this positive and exciting event as we honor those who have served or are currently serving this great country,” said Linda Andreassi, communications director, in a statement. “It is our privilege to host this event and we invite the school community to join us at the football game that night to recognize their service.”

Veterans/military personnel who would like to register for the event can do so by providing their name, rank, branch, years of service, and war served, if applicable, by Aug. 25 to Andreassi at andreassill@svsd.net or by mailing the information to 124 Seneca School Rd., Harmony, PA  16037.

Once this information is received, participants will be notified of the specifics for this event.
