Updated: Seneca Valley Issues Two-Hour Delay for Private and Parochial Student Transportation

The area is under a wind chill advisory through 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Although Seneca Valley students have no school Tuesday because of an already scheduled in-service day, the district has issued a two-hour delay for the private and parochial school students it transports to class.

St. Kilian Parish School in Cranberry, which follows Seneca Valley for closings and delays, also will have a two-hour delay Tuesday because of the forecasted snowy weather and extreme cold temperatures. St. Gregory Catholic School in Zelienople also has issued a two-hour delay for Tuesday.

A wind chill advisory also is in effect through 11 a.m. Wednesday.

With the wind chill, temperatures are expected to dip to 10 to 20 degrees below 0 Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The temperature will increase to a frosty 0 to 10 degrees below zero Tuesday evening before falling back toward 10 to 20 below zero Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
