Seneca Valley Foundation Sweetness & Light Gala: Everything You Need to Know

Silent auction packages are available for bidding online now.

The Seneca Valley Foundation’s Sweetness & Light Gala isn’t until February, but the nonprofit already is tempting attendees with a number of auction items.

Participants are invited to review the silent auction packages, and even bid online, by clicking here.

Some of the goodies include box seats for a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game, throwing out the first pitch at a Pirates home game and a private tour of the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.

The gala takes place at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Regency Rooms at Heinz Hall.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Seneca Valley Foundation, a private, tax-exempt nonprofit corporation. The foundation seeks donations and patrons to help develop capital projects, classroom programs and student scholarships for Seneca Valley.

The gala also will feature more than a dozen baskets that will be raffled off live prior to the 8 p.m. performance of “My Funny Valentine.” Baskets include the following themes:

  • Snow Day Basket
  • Romance Basket
  • Date Night Basket
  • Love My ‘Do Basket
  • Dinner is Done Basket
  • Nose in a Book Basket –Young Boy
  • Nose in a Book Basket –Older Boy
  • Nose in a Book Basket –Young Girl
  • Nose in a Book Basket –Older Girl
  • Yinzer Basket
  • Wine Connoisseur Basket
  • Girls Night Basket
  • Housewarming Basket

Several additional baskets, as well as artwork from Seneca Valley staff members, are expected to be available soon and will be added to the auction and basket raffle lists.
