Meet the Artists: Haine Students Named Winners at Butler County Show

The students' pieces will be on display until the end of the month.

Four Haine Middle School students were named award winners during the Associated Artists of Butler County's first elementary student art show held March 15.

  • Sixth grader Phoebe Shi earned a first place honor in the mixed media category for her mask "Athena.”
  • Mya Orgovan, also grade six, earned a first place award in the ceramics category for her wheel thrown bowl.
  • Madison Smith, a fifth-grader, was named a second place winner in the painting category for her abstract painting.
  • Chloe Rechkemer, grade six, earned an honorable mention in the mixed media category for her mask "Color, Paint, Create."

The pieces are on display at the AABC in Butler until March 29.
