Five Things You Need to Know This Week

1. Cranberry Planning Advisory Commission

Get the scoop on what developments are in the works for Cranberry. The commission meets at 6 p.m. Monday, April 1 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building on Rochester Road.

2. Cranberry Board of Supervisors Meeting

Find out in person what’s going on in township government. Cranberry’s board of supervisors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4 inside council chambers at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

3. Spring Fishing Event for Kids at Graham Park

This event for kids ages 5 to 12 has a session from 8 to 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at the fishing lake at Graham Park in Cranberry. The event begins with a quick seminar on fishing, along with lake rules and regulations.

Skilled volunteers will be on hand to help with basic fishing skills. No fishing license is required, but pre-registration is. Click here for more information.

4. Seneca Valley Middle School Talent Show

The Seneca Valley Middle School will host its fourth annual “Middle School Talent Show” at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6 in the middle school multi-purpose room. Tickets are $5 and will be sold to students during all lunches, as well as at the door.

More than 50 students will be competing in different categories with acts including singers, dancers, instrumentalists and comedians. Food and refreshments will also be available.

5. Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Spina Bifida Association

A pancake breakfast to benefit Spina Bifida Association camps and retreats will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at Cranberry Community United Methodist Church on Rochester Road.

The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. The price includes pancakes, sausage or bacon, bagels and beverages. Gluten free pancakes also are available.
