1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township.

2. Conversations and Coffee with Cranberry Township’s Manager

Township manager Jerry Andree spills the beans with this community forum at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, located at 2771 Rochester Road, Cranberry.

The format is simple—coffee, discussion, questions and answers. A RSVP is not required, but appreciated. Call 724-776-4806 to reserve your spot.

3. Body Image and Media Workshop

Cranberry Public Library will hold a body image and media workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at the library, located inside the Cranberry Municipal Center.

The workshop will provide eight strategies to empower girls in today's media saturated world. Parents, leaders and teen girls are all welcome to attend.

4. Megan Durst Memorial 5K Run and Family Walk

The Fourth Annual Megan Durst 5K Run and Family Walk takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at the Strawberry Ridge Golf Course in Harmony.

The fee is $15 per runner/walker up to April 8 and $20 per runner/walker after April 8.

This year, 100 percent of the proceeds will be used to support the fundraising efforts of the Cranberry Community Chest to build the new Cranberry Kids Castle at Cranberry Community Park.

5. Night At The Races at Evans City VFW

The Evans City Veterans of Foreign Wars will host its first “Night at the Races” and small games of chance Saturday, April 13. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the horse racing starts at 7 p.m.

The admission fee of $10 includes draft beer, soft drinks, a buffet dinner and door prizes.

Proceeds benefit U.S. veterans. Most be 21 to attend the event. For more information, call 724-538-9070.
